I think I'm a day late, but I have a very good reason, see I'm sick and that makes me pretty self centered ya know.
But I didn't want to totally miss pointing out that Joe and Barb finally tied the knot.
Congratulation!

Quickly
Gee broke two school track and field records and has his name on the record board until another 5/6th grader can throw 64'6" in discus or 28'5" in shot put. He has another year to work on breaking his own record too.
Not seconds after sitting down from receiving his T&F awards the Basketball coach was on us like stink on shit to recruit him for the varsity team. I had to bite my cheek to keep from laughing out loud at him. We'll see.
The performance hall at Fortuna high is too small for the size of their band and choir. They preformed well and I was very glad I could make both events last night.
My truck is finished. The rental company got their asses chewed though. I loved the call from the body shop to the district office, "You need to update your training procedures."
I walked by Gee's cat and thought he was dead. I promptly woke him up and threatened to kill him!

Just a quick note to say that we are all getting by.
None of us can talk about it without crying so it's a taboo subject at the moment. It will all resurface once we get him back from the vet.
Gee chose to have him cremated rather than bury him. I'll have to make him a shadow box if he ever stops carrying his collar around when he's home. We'll put his collar, fav. toy, and ashes in there.
We are leaving for a goat show this weekend so we will be gone until Sunday.
In G-Pa news, it's not good.
Life will be a challenge for the next year or two I think. Our pets are all old and we have elderly family who are very ill.
I'm very glad at times like this that I have never sheltered Gee from death or dying. I guess put like that it sounds harsh. I mean we have always let him be involoved. He's gone to funerals since he was 3. He's not afraid of sick people. He isn't scared of a dead body. No we are not happy. We are heart broken and sick to death. I can't tell you how many times I've come close to throwing up because my guts clench up to tight.
He knows how to respond. He is familiar with the process. I'm glad for that now. I don't know if I could handle explaining the process right now with a situation this close to us. I know the details and I'm trying to blank them out myself because I just don't want to go there in my mind.
It's a toss up if it will be my G-pa or Gee's cat next. I'm guessing G-pa. At least Gee will be able to come home to the cat.
I think Flower has finally figured out Buddy is gone. She's curled up in his spot on my pillow looking rather down today.
Didn't I say this would be quick? It's just I don't want to pack.

Pimpin'
So as most of the three of you here know, I'm not a big "joiner". I'm not into groups of people unless I'm controlling them. I'm pretty much a loner that way.
But over at DIST forum I've found a group that I can lurk around, toss out a half witted comment, and still have friends. No one gets their panties in a bunch when they don't agree. And no, they don't all agree all the time. There are varied and vastly different opinions there. Everyone keeps on their big girl panties and places nice, even Avi.
DIST turns one year old Sunday. I think it's pretty amazing that any group in this day and age on the internet lasts one whole year. That's like 12 months, 365 days, 8760 hours of togetherness without crumbling. We sent cards for Christmas and had a gift exchange. I never did get my damn cookies from KG though.
Congratulations DIST. I'm happy to say I'm a part of it. Super Slut that I am.
